Creamy Soup Season Is Just Content Now And Almost Nobody Is Actually Cooking
Every October my feed fills with the same creamy chicken and wild rice soup, shot from the same angle, captioned about the weather turning. It looks great. I have made it exactly zero times, and I suspect most of you have not either.
I miss when comfort food was actually comforting instead of a seasonal content slot. My grandmother did not photograph a pot of soup. She made it because it was Tuesday and cold, we ate it, and everyone moved on with their lives.
So here is my take. If you only cook soup when the algorithm says it is soup weather, you are not cooking, you are performing. Prove me wrong in the comments, ideally with a photo of an actual pot.
