France let a 143 year old town hall burn over grocery prices and JD Vance is already blaming immigrants

Limoges town hall got finished in 1883, survived both world wars, and then lost its roof in one night of rioting over the cost of living. Hundreds of arrests across the country, some reports pushing past a thousand. Vance has already decided immigration is the explanation, which is a very tidy way of never asking why people are torching their own cities over rent and food. Blame whoever actually lit the match, and try admitting that the price of bread is doing more damage to France right now than any migrant ever has.

फ्रांस में महंगाई के खिलाफ प्रोटेस्ट के बीच 17 अक्टूबर को लिमोज का ऐतिहासिक टाउन हॉल यानी मेयरी आग में लगभग पूरा खत्म हो गया, छत तक ढह गई। ये इमारत 1873 में बनी थी, दोनों विश्व युद्ध झेल गई, और इस हफ्ते की भीड़ के सामने नहीं टिक पाई। पेरिस समेत कई शहरों में लूट और सरकारी इमारतों पर हमले हुए, 1200 से ज़्यादा लोग गिरफ्तार हुए। महंगाई पर गुस्सा जायज है, पर जो 143 साल पुरानी हेरिटेज इमारत जला देता है वो आंदोलनकारी नहीं, सिर्फ लुटेरा है। और हर बार इमिग्रेशन को दोष देना सस्ता बहाना है, असली गड़बड़ ये है कि सरकार महंगाई चला ही नहीं पा रही, इतना तो मान लो।
