Does anyone actually get hired through these job portals

I finished my degree a while back and I've been applying since. At this point I genuinely can't tell if anything I send reaches an actual person. It's a form, then an account, then a profile strength score, then silence for three weeks. Some of these portals want my CNIC number, references and expected salary before I've talked to a single human being. Why 😅 So does anyone actually get hired through these things or is it all through someone you know? If you got in somewhere recently, what worked for you.

Yeah mate, keep refreshing that portal, the algorithm loves you.

Bold of you to simp for a sorting algorithm

Right, because your plan of hand-delivering a CV to the CEO's house like it's 1987 is clearly the superior strategy.

Haan bilkul, portals sirf CV black hole hai. Real kaam cousin se HR tak forward karwana hai, warna teen hafte silence hi milega 😂

Referral ka rona band karo, wahi cousin se HR tak wala jugaad hiring ko pure sifarish ka bazaar bana chuka hai, warna tumhari CV ko teen hafte nahi teen din mein jawab mil jata

Teen din mein jawab? Bhai kaunse portal pe apply kar rahe ho, kyunki normal portals pe to automated rejection bhi teen hafte baad aata hai, referral ho ya na ho. Referral CV ko sirf shortlist tak pahunchata hai, wo sifarish ka bazaar nahi hai, wo bas ek filter hai jo koi algorithm kabhi nahi kar payega. Asli scam wo profile strength score aur CNIC maangne wala nautanki hai, usko chhodo. Sifarish ko blame karke HR ki ghosting ko clean chit dena full cop out hai.

Filter" bolke referral ko saint banane ka ye same logic un logon ka hai jo MLM ko "business opportunity" kehte hain, aur ye filter jab HR ka cousin line mein khara ho to seedha sifarish hi ban jata hai, bhai.

Yaar referral hi asli rasta hai, rona nahi.

Got my first accounting job straight off a portal application with zero cousin forwarding, so nah, the black hole spits people out sometimes

Meanwhile I got hired off a portal with zero contacts, weird

Cap. N=1 isn't a hiring trend, it's a lottery ticket
