Only the BBC could call dating a scripted NPC cheating

The ick isnt GTA VI's romance system, its grown adults treating a line of code like a side piece. If a fictional character threatens your relationship, the relationship was already dead. 🙄

BBC really out here writing think pieces about pixels with feelings 🙄

Saying it's not cheating because it's code is a lazy take, the feelings are still real for the person watching you flirt with a fake woman every night.

Watched my cousin lose it over her boyfriend marrying some NPC in a game, and two months later she caught him doing the exact same flirting with a real coworker. The NPC was never the problem, it was just the first place she noticed it.

If feelings are the real metric, does the same rule apply when someone gets jealous of a rom-com lead or a crush in a paperback, or is it only cheating once there's a polygon count?
