Every movie is two and a half hours now and nobody is brave enough to say it
Watched a movie last night. It was two hours and change. It was about a sad man who stared at a lake. I remember when a comedy was ninety minutes and you were home by ten. Now every director thinks he is adapting a novel that does not exist. Nobody edits anymore, because editing is where the ego gets trimmed, and the ego has final cut. My bladder and my babysitter both have notes.2
